1. About us
Our story takes you back nearly a hundred years, to the 1930s, in a charming old wine cellar. What begins as a relaxing moment with a glass of wine soon takes an unexpected turn because life always has its surprises…
Our escape room is a manually crafted (“artisanal”) space that recreates the unique atmosphere of early 20th-century Szentendre. Set in an authentic wine cellar beneath a 200-year-old house. The theme of the game speaks for itself. The place and the game try to recall the once-thriving viticulture of Szentendre devastated by the grape phylloxera epidemic in 1882.
2. Useful information
– The game is primarily designed for adults but older teenagers (15 years+) are also welcome to join.
– A glass of wine is included in the experience. Minors and non-drinkers will be offered homemade fruit syrup as an alternative.
– It is always relatively cold (15-16 oC) in the cellar, so please bring warm clothing. (Poncho blankets are available if needed.)
– There are low ceilings in some parts of the place, please mind your head.
– For safety and game monitoring, a closed-circuit camera system is installed providing video and audio connection with the game master. However, no recordings are stored. Participation requires acceptance of these terms.
– Due to the space limitations, a maximum of 8 people can play at the same time.
– The full programme lasts one hour including an introduction and practical info. (Players have 55 minutes to complete the mission.)
– The game requires creativity and observation, no real physical force/effort (such as breaking, destroying, pushing, lifting objects, etc.) is needed.
– Small stickers are placed on sites, objects and devices that are not part of the game.
– Please do not take photos inside so that other guests can have the same game experience as you had.
– The game is available in Hungarian or English, please indicate your preferred language in advance. (Hablamos español también pero se necesita un nivel básico de inglés o húngaro para poder jugar.)

For 7-8 persons: 20 000 HUF 18 000 HUF

Prices are listed in Hungarian forints and include all applicable local taxes. Payment can be made in cash or by credit/debit card upon arrival.

How to get there: The location is approx. 250 meters north of Fő tér (Szentendre’s Main square). From Budapest take the suburban train (HÉV) line no. H5, then take a 12-15-minute walk. If you come by car from south direction (Budapest) park on Duna korzó and walk approximately 300 meters. Alternatively, to park closer, stay on the main road (No. 11) and turn right into Ady Endre utca when you already passed the downtown of Szentendre. Drive back about 500 meters along the Danube (on Duna korzó) and park around No. 4. Duna korzó.
Please note that special permission is needed to access the downtown by car. Do not risk getting a fine. Please also bear in mind that you have to pay for parking even on weekends.
